Product Review: Jane Iredale Rose Dawn Bronzer

Spending even less time outdoors this summer as I due to being pregnant simply couldn’t stand the very hot weather we’ve had here in Melbourne, means that I’ve not had the usual summer glow. And that’s when I’ve been relying on a good bronzer. Here are my thought on the *Jane Iredale Rose Dawn Bronzer;

What They Say:
"This quad of golden bronze and copper-toned shades can be used on eyes, on cheeks or as an all-over highlighter. The gentle shimmer comes from 24-karat food-grade gold flakes and gives a natural, subtle glow to the complexion. Free of FD&C dyes and irritants."

RRP: $90.00 – Available from Adore Beauty, Skin Matrix and RY

What I Say:
I have previously tried the Jane Iredale PureGloss, and the Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals, and as I absolutely loved both, I was so excited to be trying the Rose Dawn Bronzer. And I was instantly impressed with the Jane Iredale Rose Dawn Bronzer, it just looks so gorgeous, that I almost didn’t want to use it!!

The Rose Dawn bronzer contains four different colours from a pale pink, a feminine pink to a plum and a bronze colour. The combination of colours means that the powder doubles as a blusher and highlighter, as well as each colour can be used individually on eyes, lips or cheeks, or of course the colours can be used combined for an all-over sheen.

The four colours blend together to help even out the skin tone and give it a nice glow, and the pink colour adds subtle colour and radiance to the skin - For an extra touch of color, you can sweep brush over the pink colour only and just apply on your cheeks as a highlighter.

Like the rest of the Jane Iredale product range, the Rose Dawn Bronzer is made from high quality pure minerals that are suitable for all skin types, including those with super sensitive skin. The bronzer is very light weight, and the pigments are so finely milled that it blends easily, and feels comfortable to wear, as well as it looks natural on the skin, giving the skin such a nice sheen.

And as most other mineral makeup products, it is easy to build up coverage, while still looking natural and not ‘caked on’.

The powder has a good staying powder, and using it on top of my normal foundation, tinted day cream or BB cream, and it also worked as a setting powder, with little touch ups required during the day.

The Rose Dawn Bronzer comes in a gorgeous round gold metallic compact, with a screw lid. It doesn’t come with any brushes, which some may find a negative, but as I have my own makeup brushes that I would probably use anyway, I don’t mind that there is no brush!

It retails for $90.00, so I have to say that it is one of the more expensive makeup items that I have ever tried. But the compact not only looks so luxurious, the bronzer also feels so amazing to wear, and is such an amazing multi-tasking product, that you can use it all over your face, - suitable for both eyes, cheeks and face as well as you can use it on your lips with a touch of clear gloss on top – and hence, I feel that this is really worth it’s high price tag, and so love this bronzer that I’ll be crying the day I hit the pan!
