PRODUCT REVIEW: ARBONNE LIPSTICK IN JAM

Since having our little boy a year ago, I have to admit that I am currently wearing a lot less makeup than I ever have. Finding the time is simply tricky. When I am in a hurry, a stroke with an eyeliner, a coat or two of mascara, and a swipe of a lipstick or lipgloss is often all I have time or before my little boy calls out. But that’s where at least having a selection of different lip products makes my simple look change every day. One of the lipsticks that I’ve been sporting lately has been the* Arbonne Lipstick in Jam;

What They Say:

The lipstick is long-wearing, feather-resistant lipstick glides on easily for full coverage, and intensely conditions and hydrates lips.

RRP: $36 (2.17g) – Available from Arbonne

What I Say:

It has only been about a year since I came across the brand Arbonne, and having now tried a few different products, including the Perfecting Liquid foundation, the Bronzer and the Blush, I so wish that I had come across this brand earlier. The products are simply fantastic and of such premium quality.

The Arbonne do not contain any harmful ingredients, and are also formulated without Parabens, PABA we well as the Petroleum based ingredients including Benzene, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Phthalates, and Toluene. And in addition, the products are vegan-friendly, are never tested on animals and do not contain animal-derived ingredients or animal by-products. Sounds pretty impressive doesn’t it!!

And add to that that Arbonne discloses the full list of ingredients used in the products. No secrets there, now isn’t that such a refreshing change!

I got to trial the Arbonne lipstick in the colour Jam, which is a warm red shade, and it is easy to apply and being very pigmented, it is easy to achieve a full coverage, although you can also just dab a little on and quickly before it dries, blend it out with your finger for a more subtle stain. And as promised, it is very long wearing, especially when you are wearing it with full coverage, it simply stays put for a few hours, and even after a cuppa, it is still there, although it doesn’t survive my slightly greasy lunch. And even when the lipstick fades, it fades evenly, leaving the lips with a nice red stain.

It feels very lovely and moisturising on the lips, and even when it has worn off my lips feel soft and smooth.

The lipstick comes in a simple long canister, and having a slightly slanted edge makes it easy to apply straight from the tube.

long-wearing, feather-resistant lipstick glides on easily for full coverage, and intensely conditions and hydrates lips.

At $36 this lipstick is in the more expensive end, but feeling so lovely on the lips, and being so long wearing, also means that you won’t constantly have to reapply, so it will last you quite a while. And personally I find it is worth paying a little extra for products that do not contain any chemical nasties.
