Product Review: Arbonne Blush

Using a blush makes a massive difference to the overall look of your makeup. It is like a mini face-lift, which also gives you a rosy glow and can help define your cheekbones, making you look more healthy. Here are my thoughts on the  *Arbonne Blush;

What They Say:

Incredibly lightweight, mineral-infused pigment creates a natural-looking blush to highlight the complexion.

RPP: $40 (4.5g) – Available from Arbonne Online

What I Say:

To be quite honest, it is only just recently that I have learnt of the Arbonne brand, as I recently trialled the Bronzer and the Perfecting Liquid Foundation.

Arbonne was founded in Switzerland, and all products are vegan-friendly and no products are tested on animals and do not contain animal-derived ingredients or animal by-products.

All Arbonne makeup items are also formulated without parabens, formaldehyde donating preservatives, petroleum based ingredients including benzene, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, toluene , PABA and talc. Music to my ears!!

I really loved the Arbonne Bronzer and Perfecting Liquid Foundation, so I naturally also had very high expectations for the Arbonne Blush.

The mineral blushes contains Vitamin A, C, E, and are cucumber extract infused to be gentle on the skin. And due to their mineral ingredients, these blushes don’t make you shine like a disco ball, but rather the shimmer is rather subtle.

There are 8 colours in the blush range, so I dare say that there is something for everyone. I tried the colour Dusty Rose, which as the name suggest is warm rose coloured. It is a very pretty colour, and would be very wearable for a lot skin tones, including my medium beige skin. It has a silky powdery matte finish with just a slight hint of shimmer, perfect for combination or oily skin types.

It comes in the typical Arbonne packaging, a black case, with a clear lid engraved with the Arbonne logo. The lid is sturdy and closes securely. It is simply sleek and attractive.

The compact does not come with a brush, which some may find a negative, however, it is actually fine by me, as much prefer to use my own larger and better quality brushes as I find it gives a much nicer end result.

The actual blush is semi-sheer, although the colour can easily be built up, without caking or going on too strong. It is so light weight, and it has a nice matte finish, perfect for my combination skin, which tends to shine a little by the end of the day.

The blush blends easily with minimal fallout, and as it is so finely milled and highly pigmented, a little goes a long way, so the pan will last you a long time. The result is a natural ‘pinched cheek’ rosy glow, which stays in place all day without fading or sliding, even on my combination skin during hot and humid days.

All in all, I am very impressed with the blush by Arbonne, it is a fantastic blush, which is a great addition to any makeup look.
