Looking for some great makeup to wear on Valentines Day out with your loved one (or perhaps put on a subtle wish list), then read on..

Because it is Valentines Day, dare I say that a bold lip is essential, which also means time to play down the eyes, and the Get Naked Silky Eyes Palette from W7 available from Chemist Warehouse is a great choice. The very affordable palette is has a stunning embossed design, and contains five classic nude shades ranging from ivory, pale apricot, pale pink, mauve and chocolate brown, in a combination of shimmery and matte, but all with a silky soft consistency. Perfect to create subtle nude look.

Need a bit of glow, then bestselling The Highlighter from 3Ina is an absolute must. The products from 3Ina are cruelty free and paraben free, and so affordable yet of such an incredibly high quality. The highlighter in shade 201, a pale peachy-golden shade is absolutely stunning. It is so soft and pigmented and perfect for giving you that radiant glow. You can use it any were you like, from on the cheekbones, on the Cupid's bow, or perhaps on your collarbones, décolleté and shoulders. You can even use it as an eye shadow. This is seriously so beautiful that it is a must have.

And now onto the lips.... One of those brands I'm really loving for their lipsticks is Burt's Bees, as the products are 100% nasty, so free from all those nasty chemicals. And I absolutely love lip crayons, as they are simply so super quick and easy to apply thanks to the pointy tip, and then you simply wind it up, as more product is needed. These Matte Lip Crayons give a full coverage with a matte finish in a single swipe, and in spite of the matte finish, it feels so moisturising and comfortable on the lips, thanks to being infused with Shea Butter, Kendi Oil, and Jojoba Oil. The shade Redwood Forest is a dark berry shade, which is absolutely stunning.
Alternatively, there's the Burt's Bees Satin Lipsticks, which is also made from 100% natural ingredients and contain among others moringa and raspberry seed oils to keep the lips feeling soft and moisturised throughout the day. There are a massive 18 shades in the range, so something for every taste. I have a love for darker lipsticks, so really loving the shade, Brimming Berry, which is a darker pinkish-red berry shade with a touch of satin shimmer, which looks so beautiful on the lips too. And got to love the packaging too, with the brownish packaging reminding on a bee hive, where you can see the shade of the lipstick in the holes.

If you're more for a lip palette, then you must check out the newly launched limited edition Smooth & Rich Lip Colour Palettes from Natio.

I admit that I tend to be lazy and rarely apply lipstick with a brush, but honestly I should as the finish is so much nicer, and not to mention, last so much longer too. Again, I tend to prefer darker shades, so the Berry Palette would be my personal pick of the two palettes, but if you're also for paler more nude shades, the Primrose may be more for you. Regardless, these are limited edition, so if you want to get your hands on one, you best hurry.

Finally, if you are looking for something a little different, then how about the personalised, Say It With Polish nail polishes. I love that these nail polishes are Australian made, vegan friendly and certified cruelty free by Cruelty Free Australia, and also paraben free and 5-free meaning thy do not contain any of the nasties including toluene, DBP, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin or camphor. You can select from one of the limited edition Valentine's Day templates (or of course make your own), or a unique and special treat for your loved one. The nail polishes come in a huge range of shades, such as the brighter red Helen's Melons with the "You're one in a Melon" which is my favourite, although the shade Beets Me with the "I Don't Need A Valentine, I Need Valentino" (and who doesn't!!), is such a classic dark red shade that it should be in any nail polish collection.
