FRAGRANCE FRIDAY: VERA WANG SIGNATURE FOR HER AND FOR HIM - PRODUCT REVIEW

Another week has come and gone, which means that its time for the next instalment of Fragrance Friday.. And today, I thought why now make it two… so it will be all about the Vera Wang Signature for Her and for Him.

If you haven’t tried any of the scents from Vera Wang, you really should. Over the years, the New York bridal designer has launched close to 30 different scents, so there’s sure to be something for every taste.

But let’s start with the Vera Wang Signature Eau de Perfume for Her. This floral fragrance containing iris, sandalwood, lily, gardenia, mandarin, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, bergamot, lotus and rose.

This is such a stunning white floral scent, that is fresh thanks to the gardenia and lily, but has a gorgeous freshness because of the added bergamot and mandarin, which personally I really like, I never can resist citrus scents.

The fragrance is a subtle, yet very stunning classical scent that is beautiful if you like to wear a scent, but don’t like anything too strong or overpowering. Personally I really like the citrusy fresh fruitless mixed with the light white florals. As it is an eau de parfum, it has a good wear, so although it is not a heavy scent, it still manages to keep you smelling beautiful throughout the day. The lightness of the scent, also means that it is a perfect scent for day time wear. It comes in the most stunning triangular heavy duty bottle that has a silver ‘collar’ and a clear lid. The simplicity of the bottle makes it look both very stylish but also luxurious.

Next up is the Vera Wang Signature Eau de Toilette for Him. This is another citrusy scent, so needless to say that it immediately gets my tick of approval.

The scent contains among others mandarin leaf, yuzu zest in the top notes, nutmeg, leather and anise in the middle notes and sandalwood and tobacco in the base notes. It is such a fresh citrusy spicy and slightly scent that is still quite masculine thanks to the tobacco, nutmeg and sandalwood. I am not personally a fan of the tobacco as I can find it heavy and strong, but it is very subtle in this scent, and the other elements are stronger, making it a more energetic scent for the active man.
